Lilah Brand, MS, PT, Director of Operations

Lilah has over 26 years’ experience as a physical therapist across the continuum of healthcare. She has worked in acute & post-acute care, outpatient and home health environments. She has an extensive background in orthopedics, sports medicine, women’s health, and post-acute neurological based services.

Lilah has owned her own physical therapy and wellness clinics and enjoys operational leadership and business development roles, mentoring teams and developing staff. She has previously held positions as Director of Rehabilitation in SNF’s and Executive Director roles in home and community operations for patients recovering from catastrophic injuries.

It is with this experience and knowledge that Lilah joins Iron Point Physical Therapy to launch Folsom’s premiere state of the art outpatient physical therapy facility. She is passionate about creating robust programming for the community to include physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech language pathology services to all ages.

In her personal life, Lilah enjoys yoga, martial arts, paddle boarding, hiking, cooking, and time with her children and family.

Payal Karia, DPT

Dr. Payal Karia is an experienced Physical Therapist with a specialization in musculoskeletal injuries and rehabilitation. With over 12 years of experience in the field of physical therapy, Payal has established herself as a trusted expert. Holding a bachelor’s degree from India and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University, USA, she has successfully treated numerous patients, helping them return to a pain-free and improved quality of life. Payal has worked in different roles from being a Lead PT to a Clinic Director for outpatient services. Payal’s approach is rooted in evidence-based practices, ensuring each patient receives the best possible care.

Outside of the clinic, Payal likes to spend time with her family and friends. She likes cooking and eating healthy.

Collins Wong, BSc. PT (Hons), Physical Therapist

Collins has been a dedicated physical therapist since 2009, gaining extensive experience working with patients of all ages and diverse cultural backgrounds in both outpatient settings and aquatic environments. Her expertise spans orthopedics, sports medicine, and amputation rehabilitation.

Before transitioning to physical therapy, Collins worked as a kinesiologist in Canada, where she specialized in helping patients recover from motor vehicle accident injuries.

In addition to her proficiency in English, Collins is fluent in both Cantonese and Mandarin.

Originally from the Bay Area, she now enjoys living in Folsom. She also enjoys cooking, making crafts, hiking and spending quality time with her family.

Mandy Anderson, DPT

Mandy Anderson is an outpatient physical therapist specializing in Women’s Health.  She completed her undergraduate work at Brigham Young University, Provo.  Mandy transferred locally to California State University, Sacramento to earn her Masters in Physical therapy.

Upon graduation,  she took a position in an outpatient clinic specializing in spinal injury for the first two years of her career.  During this time she experienced first hand some of the challenges of aging through watching her grandparents.  One of her grandparents suffered from a severe stroke and needed significant care, including extra care due to incontinence.

In 2018 she went back to school to complete her doctorate at A.T. Still University.  During one of her courses, she was inspired to look further into Women’s Health.  She learned that much can be done to correct incontinence, amongst other debilitating diagnoses.  She completed her APTA courses in Women’s health in 2021.  Since then Mandy has enjoyed improving quality of life in both women’s health and outpatient orthopedic patient populations.

When she is not at work, she is with her three children out on the trails, at their events, or socializing with family and friends.

Nicole Sisson, PTA

Nicole is a Physical Therapist Assistant with over 15 years experience both in the acute care (hospital) setting and outpatient setting, with neurological, orthopedic, and sport injury diagnoses. She has a long history of working in outpatient Neurological which
focused on Locomotor training, specializing with people with Spinal Cord Injuries, Strokes, and Traumatic Brain Injuries. Nicole has a strong passion of treating people with Parkinson’s Disease, as her Grandmother did have this diagnosis. Nicole is a PWR!Moves Certified Therapist which not only helps with her treatment of people with Parkinson’s as well as other neurological diagnoses as these moves can help for many diagnoses. Nicole is also currently working on getting a Neuro Specialist Certificate through PESI to help assist her treatment people with neurological conditions. When she was younger Nicole spent most of her time Dancing, playing soccer, camping, hiking, and enjoying the night sky. She has lived in California since 2022, was born and raised in Michigan, and has enjoyed exploring all what nature has to offer, including camping, hiking, the night sky, the beaches, paddleboarding, as well as yoga. She looks forward to providing you with care at Iron Point Physical Therapy, and helping develop an intensive outpatient Neuro program to better serve Northern California.

Paola Race, OTR, CHT

Paola has been an Occupational Therapist since 2001 with 18 of those years in the Hand Therapy specialty. She achieved Certified Hand Therapist status in May, 2011 with Recertification completed om 2021.

Paola’s occupational and hand therapy interests include orthopedic diagnoses with special interest in post-surgical rehabilitation of the hand, wrist, and elbow. She works closely with her patients to find the most appropriate and effective treatment plans.

Paola continues to grow her practice by attending continuing education courses for the evaluation and treatment of upper extremity injuries, as well as mentoring occupational therapy students who strive to learn more about hand therapy.

When away from work, Paola enjoys spending time traveling with family, hiking, biking, skiing and crafting.

Shane Simmons, Massage Therapist

I have been practicing massage therapy for 12 years. Over this period of time I have been honing my skills to provide my clients’ a range of techniques and modalities.With my accumulated knowledge and hands-on experience I look forward to providing you with a therapeutic experience which will be effective at delivering relief and relaxation.I like to ensure my clients’ sessions are tailored to their specific needs; with the goal of promoting long lasting improvements to their overall health and well-being, leaving feeling distressed and renewed after each session.

Different Techniques and Modalities provide follow:

  • Swedish — Lighter pressure with long flowing and gliding motions to provide deep relaxation.
  • Deep Tissue — Firmer pressure to target the underlying layer of muscles and really work out kinks and tight / sore muscles.
  • Trigger Point — Targeted pressure on specific points of the muscle tissue to help release contractions (knots)
  • Myofascial Release — Focuses on relaxing the connective tissue that connects and surrounds muscles
  • Reflexology Techniques — Targets specific areas on the hands and feet that are related to bodily functions, such as stimulating digestive organs or your circulatory system
  • Prenatal — Helps relieve the stress and aches that come with being pregnant, which usually include tight / sore low back and hip muscles as well as shoulders and neck and fluid retention in the ankles.
  • Stretching — I provide a range of simple but effective stretches to help loosen and relax muscles, examples being circumduction of the shoulder, or stretching of the quads / hamstrings.

Crystal Cerrillo, Administrative Assistant

Crystal is a front desk receptionist with 15 years of dedicated experience in the healthcare industry, she excels in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth front office operations. Crystal expertise includes insurance verification, obtaining authorizations, processing payments and scheduling appointments with efficiency and accuracy.

Throughout her career, Crystal has been recognized for her professional demeanor, attention to detail, and ability to handle high pressure situations. Crystal loves spending time outdoors biking, hiking and swimming. She loves to spend her free time with her two children.

Gor Mikayelyan, Physical Therapy Aide

Gor is a dedicated and compassionate physical therapy aide with over a year of experience in providing top quality and careful care to patients in the healthcare setting. He is born and raised in Sacramento, California and has always had a passion for helping others, which has led him to this occupation.

Gor’s role as a physical therapy aide is being responsible for supporting physical therapists, helping patients with exercises and ensuring that they use equipment safely and effectively. His attention to detail and dedication to patient well being has made him a valuable asset to his team.

Gor is also in school right now for Radiology to become a X-Ray tech and wants to continue his education in the medical field.

In his personal life, Gor enjoys working out , playing with his dogs, spending time with family, swimming, and reading books.
